Many bloggers use google adsense search box on a new blog.How stupid it looks to use adsense search box on such blog which is yet to crawled by googlebots.I don’t say, you cannot earn money from it but it is mainly for well crawled site.And another disadvantage in using is that it takes your traffic to other site and pays less.

3.Using More Image Ads:

It is another misconception in peoples mind more image ads = more money.It is true that image ads mainly pay more as compared to text ads but it is found that text ads are more clicked as compared to image ads.So whats the point in using it.Placing more text will give you more money.

I have seen many websites which puts the ads in end of their page and then complaining that Adsense sucks and you failed to earn money.You must use google “heatmap” to find out which is the best place for putting ads.And the right area according to it is right above the content.Putting ads in the end is good for long article as it increases its CTR value.

5.Changing Adsense Code:

You can change the colour, background or border to suite your needs but never change the search code.Do whatever you like outside the code.They know if you are doing this and the code stop working as it violates the TOS.

6.Using Low Paying Advertiser:

Block low paying advertisers with Filters.There is no need to lose a visitor for an ad that will only pay you a cent.Use Google Adwords Keywords tool to discover keywords that are less popular with advertisers.

7.Background Colour:

Google Ads with no background color and no borders will always perform better. Make the border color and background color same as your page background color.

There is no question to argue that google adsense can be a continuos source of steady income.But it should be remember to avoid mistakes in using it.Quality content, good density of keywords and promoting it can really help you.
